The tiltable GPS tumbler, available in sizes from 1250 to 10,000 liters, combined with Günther’s GTT defrosting system, offers a highly efficient solution for food processors aiming to reduce processing times and improve product quality. With the GTT, frozen products are defrosted directly in the tumbler in just 3 to 5 hours, with or without water or additives, depending on process requirements. Thanks to its double heating jacket and the circulation of hot brine from a connected tank, the system ensures uniform and gentle defrosting without losing valuable defrosting liquids, increasing yield by up to 10%. This process can reduce water consumption by up to 90% and double productivity by shortening cycles. Additionally, the tumbler operates under vacuum, allowing the product to reabsorb the liquids it loses during the process—helping retain texture and flavor while also gaining weight. GPS tumblers allow up to 60% of the drum volume to be used and feature an intuitive touchscreen to control all process parameters: vacuum, temperature, time, drum inclination, and speed.
