With the new SOLIDWAVE BATCH, RF Systems introduces a breakthrough in defrosting, using solid-state technology for precise frequency control at 915 MHz, ensuring more uniform results.
By replacing traditional magnetron generators, the solid-state generator delivers more reliable, consistent performance with low-voltage electronics.
This compact system is designed to maximize productivity, processing up to 0.5 tons per hour and handling 4 trays of 60 x 40 x 25 cm, each loaded with 25 kg of product.
Built with food-grade stainless steel and featuring a sideways-opening door, the SOLIDWAVE BATCH ensures hygiene, durability, and ease of use.
It also offers customization for over 100 defrosting recipes and features an intuitive touchscreen interface with an easy-to-use keyboard panel.

SDF (5-75) Radio Frequency Defrosting Tunnel
The radio frequency (RF) defrosting system (27.12 MHz) generates heat directly inside the product by vibrating water molecules. This enables ultra-fast and uniform defrosting without affecting low-moisture materials or compromising product quality.
Compared to conventional methods such as forced air or immersion, the RF process reduces defrosting times to just 20 to 30 minutes, even for dense blocks, bringing the product temperature to -3 °C or -1 °C with no drip loss. This results in 100% reduction in liquid loss at -1 °C and up to 60% at 0 °C.
Products can be defrosted directly in their original packaging (boxes, bags, top-sealed trays), avoiding handling, damage, and cross-contamination. The heating is uniform, with no surface overheating or hot spots, and the fast process significantly reduces bacterial growth.
Thanks to its modular and compact design, the system optimizes floor space. As a continuous in-line process, it allows just-in-time defrosting, reduces stock levels, lowers labor costs, and eliminates waste.
The system provides precise process control, automatically adjusting power according to the product with variations below 1%, and it can be integrated into automated lines via PLC. It also includes a CIP system for efficient cleaning of the conveyor belt.
